Cormac Dorrian, studied at Guildhall School of Music and Goldsmiths’ College and continues to work as a composer, conductor and musical director.​
He has written the scores to a number of short films, commercials and documentaries as well as music for BBC Radio Drama. He continues to write music for production libraries, KPM Music, AKM Music, Resource Sound and as a music consultant for music supervisors, Musicalities, inc. Cormac worked with The Music & Media Partnership on their projects for the 2010 World Cup and 2012 Olympic Games.
He has worked as a music associate for renowned composers including Barrington Pheloung, Richard Rodney Bennett and Maurice Jarre.
As a musical director, Cormac has worked with Brighton Theatre Group, City Theatre Company and Dartford’s ‘DAODS’ on such shows as West Side Story, Oliver!, Les Miserables, Guys & Dolls, Tommy-The Musical, Witches of Eastwick and Footloose, The Musical.
Cormac has been one of the guest conductors for the Dartford Symphony Orchestra since December 2017 and has been on the podium for each of the Christmas concerts since. In Feburary 2019, Cormac conducted the DSO and the Ben Beddoes Big Band in the highly successful 'Music for Heroes of the Screen and returned in March 2020 for their Songs from the Musicals Concert at The Mick Jagger Centre.
